Palak Paneer



Palak Paneer Sabzi is a popular North Indian dish made with spinach and paneer (Indian cottage cheese), simmered in a flavorful gravy. Here's a simple recipe to make this nutritious and delicious dish:

Ingredients:


  • 200g paneer, cubed
  • 2 bunches of spinach (palak), washed and chopped
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 tomatoes, finely chopped
  • 2 green chilies, chopped
  • 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp red chili powder
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1 tsp garam masala powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tbsp oil or ghee
  • Fresh cream for garnish (optional)

Recipe:

  • Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds. Let them splutter.
  • Add chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.
  • Add ginger-garlic paste and chopped green chilies. Sauté for 2 minutes.
  • Add chopped tomatoes and cook until soft.
  • Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, garam masala powder, and salt. Mix well.
  • Add chopped spinach and cook until wilted.
  • Allow the mixture to cool slightly, then blend it into a smooth paste.
  • Return the paste to the pan and add cubed paneer.
  • Simmer for a few minutes until the paneer is heated through and the flavors are well combined.
