Nutri Kulcha
Gravy Nutri Kulcha is a nutritious and flavorful dish that combines protein-rich nutri (texturized vegetable protein) with a rich and aromatic gravy, served with soft and fluffy kulchas (leavened Indian bread). Here's a recipe to make this delightful dish:
Ingredients:
For Nutri:
- 200g nutri (texturized vegetable protein)
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 1 tomato, finely chopped
- 2 green chilies, finely chopped
- 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tsp red chili powder
- 1 tsp garam masala powder
- Salt to taste
- 2 tbsp oil
For Kulcha:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup yogurt
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- Salt to taste
- Water, as needed
- Butter for brushing
Recipe:
For Nutri Gravy:
- Heat oil in a pan, add cumin seeds, and let them splutter.
- Add chopped onions, green chilies, and ginger-garlic paste. Sauté until onions turn golden brown.
- Add chopped tomatoes and cook until soft.
- Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, garam masala powder, and salt. Mix well.
- Add nutri and cook until it absorbs the flavors of the spices.
- Garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
For Kulcha:
- In a bowl, mix all-purpose flour, yogurt, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Knead into a soft dough using water as needed. Cover and let it rest for 1 hour.
- Divide the dough into equal portions and roll out each portion into a thick disk.
- Heat a tawa (griddle) and cook the kulchas on both sides until golden brown spots appear.
- Brush with butter before serving.
Serve the Nutri Gravy hot with the freshly baked Kulchas. Enjoy the wholesome and flavorful dish.
